Draw a school in plan, read what works and what doesn't, then walk through it in first person. The fastest way in is somebody else's finished building — pick one and you are inside it:

Walls stop you, doors open as you approach, stairs and the lift take you between storeys — and you have hands: Q picks up the furniture in front of you and sets it down again, as a real edit the editor can undo. Everything else this mode can do — people, sound, findings on the minimap, the generator — is below.
Walls, glass, railings, windows and furniture stop you; doors open as you approach and shut behind you. You start on the floor you were editing — walk onto a staircase or a ramp to climb it, and you'll stop at the edge of a mezzanine rather than walk off it. The lift is a lift: press E at its doors and the car comes, the doors open, you step in and it takes you. If there are people in the building you queue for it with them, in the same car, with the same eight seats.
And it can have people in it. The school life panel (L) fills the building with students and staff who walk to the room their timetable says they should be in, sit down on the chairs that are there, queue at doorways and get out of your way — or don't. The clock drives the bells and the sun together; V follows somebody through their day; K sounds a fire drill and H shows you where the crowd got stuck on the way out.
And it can be measured. The report (M) reads the same model you are walking through and answers the questions a drawing has to survive: how many people each room holds, how far the farthest one of them walks to a door, whether a wheelchair can reach every room, whether there is enough glass and how long each room rings. Every finding says which rule it applied and what it measured, and the whole thing downloads as a spreadsheet with the bill of materials under it.
…and the findings are on the map in your hand. ⚑ Findings on the minimap (O) draws the report onto the plan a finding at a time, worst first: the rooms it is about are washed in its colour and the doorways it is about are ringed, so this corridor is the one over the travel limit and that door is the one too narrow. [ and ] step through them, and a finding on another storey says which one to go to.
The building has a sound now: your footsteps take their material from the floor finish under them, doors latch and shut, machines hum where they stand, and every room reverberates for as long as its own volume and surfaces say it should. The sound panel (U) shows the number and holds the volume.
And you no longer have to draw one first. ✨ Generate turns a student count and a grade band into a whole school — corridors, classroom wings, a gym and a cafeteria, stairs where the travel distance says they go, every room furnished from its own name, and a car park sized to the staff. Four schemes lay it out four ways: a spine and wings, a courtyard round an open court, a compact block with the smallest footprint and the worst inner daylight, or a campus — a front building, a quadrangle and a row of separate teaching pavilions, the one scheme where getting to your next class means going outside. Run the same brief through all four and read the report on each — that comparison is what the word "generate" is for. What comes out is an ordinary design: nothing is marked as generated, and the first thing to do with it is move a wall. If you have a plan already, the 🖼 Overlay tool puts it under the grid — measure something on it, say how long that thing is, and trace.
And now it is somewhere to play. Walk into a chair, a stool or a wastepaper bin and it scoots out of your way — nothing is saved, so every chair is back where you drew it the moment you leave. The 🎒 Scavenger hunt (G) hides eight things around the building and tells you roughly where each of them is: it names a room and a corner and a storey, and says how warm you are getting. If the design carries a timetable, 🏃 Late for class hands you a real room and a real bell instead: get there before it rings, and the panel keeps score in seconds to spare. And the Furniture tool's Paint row will recolour anything you place — which is what the seasonal decoration packs above it are: pick one and the garlands, wreaths, pumpkins and paper cutouts arrive already wearing that time of year.
PNG downloads one image per sheet. Print / Save as PDF opens your browser's print dialog with one page per sheet — choose "Save as PDF" there for a PDF file. The site plan is one extra sheet, drawn from the same model at a wider scale. The code panel prints the occupant load, the exits, the travel distance and the area of each storey beside the drawing; the school-day panel prints what the timetable does with the building — room use, the busiest period, how far a student walks — and draws nothing at all if this design has no timetable; the specification sheet is one more page saying what each assembly is and what this tool does and does not know about it.
A .glb file of everything on screen, in metres, with the colours baked into the vertices — open it in Blender, or anything else that reads glTF.
This tool does not know what a square foot of anything costs where you are building. It knows how to be told. Fill in the rates you have, leave the ones you haven't — unpriced work is counted as zero and said so, out loud, rather than guessed at. The table is saved with the design, because the rates that priced this building are part of what the price means.
What gets built, and in what order, when the whole thing cannot be built at once. Roof, sitework and lifts belong to the building rather than to a room, so one phase carries them or they stand on their own row — they are never split across phases.
A .glb or .gltf file becomes a catalog row: it snaps to walls, stops a walker, draws on the plan and counts in the bill of materials like anything else. The file travels inside the design — so a saved file carries its furniture, and a share link cannot.
There is no language model behind this box — it is a table of phrases. It reads student counts, grade bands, storey counts, a seed, which of the four schemes to lay out, whether you want a gym, a cafeteria, a library or a site, and where you want two rooms kept apart or put together — and it tells you every word it ignored. The controls below are the actual input; the sentence just fills them in.
This replaces the design you have open — save it first if you want it. What comes out is an ordinary design: rooms, walls, furniture, a site. Nothing about it is marked as generated and every tool works on it normally. Run the Report afterwards; a generated school is a first draft that knows how to tell you what is wrong with it.
Whatever you measured — a door, a wall, a scale bar — type what it really is and the whole image is scaled to match. Measure the longest thing you are sure about: the error divides by the length.
